Paint Reviver is designed to make your cars clear coat roughly 60-90% better. Correct application, preparation, and environment are crucial to achieve the best possible result.

Ideal Application Conditions

• Environment: Apply under shelter, out of direct sunlight, in a well-ventilated area. Avoid windy days.
• Temperature: Panels should be cool to the touch (10°C-30°C) 
• Humidity: Below 80%.
• Safety First: Always wear protective gloves and eyewear.

The Water Test, will Paint Reviver work for you?

Before starting, spray a fine mist of water onto your faded panel to simulate the final result.

• If it turns glossy: Paint Reviver is a perfect fit. The resin will likely fill the defects just as the water does.
• If it remains dull: Your clear coat has likely failed entirely. Paint Reviver can still help, but extensive application/prep is required. A respray is likely the better option.

 

Step 1: Surface Preparation 

Resin bonds to bare paint. If there is old wax, silicone, or dirt on the panel, the coating will fail.

1. Strip Wash: Thoroughly wash the vehicle using a high-strength detergent (like dish soap) to strip away old waxes. Do not use wax soaps. Dry the panel 100%.
2. Decontaminate: Wipe the area thoroughly with a Wax and Grease Remover or a dedicated panel wipe. The surface must be completely bare and squeaky clean.
3. Oxidation: If your panel is heavily oxidised (chalky, white, flaky, and dead), you must lightly wet-sand the area first to create a solid foundation before coating.

Step 2: Application

Always perform a trial run on a small, inconspicuous section (like the bottom of a bumper) to get a feel for the product before tackling the hood or roof.

1. Load the Applicator. Apply product generously to your applicator pad. Your goal is to keep the pad wet so the coating can self-level.
2. Glide and Overlap. Using light pressure, glide the applicator edge-to-edge across the panel in straight, consistent lines. Overlap the edges of your previous passes to ensure zero missed spots.
3. Keep a "Wet Edge". If the pad starts to feel dry or "grabby," apply more product immediately.
4. Hands Off. Once a section is coated, let it be. Do not touch, rub, or overwork the liquid. The resin needs to self-level.

If applying multiple coats, wait 45 to 60 minutes between each layer. We recommend lightly sanding between layers for good adhesion.

 

Made a Mistake? If you make an error, you have 10 minutes to wipe it away using degreaser or other strong solvents such as Wax and Grease Remover. Once cured, removal requires heavy solvents or wet sanding.

Step 3: The Cure

• 24 Hours: The vehicle must remain 100% dry and untouched for 24 hours. Do not expose it to rain or condensation.
• 48 Hours: After 48 hours, the coating is fully cured and you may safely hand wash the vehicle.

 

Troubleshooting & Common Mistakes

Issue	Cause & Prevention
Streaks & Uneven Lines	Too little product. A dry applicator causes streaks. Reapply product to your pad frequently.
Flashing Too Fast	Excessive heat. Applying in direct sun or on a hot panel causes the resin to dry before it can self-level.
Poor Adhesion	Skipping prep. Residue from old waxes or soaps prevented the resin from bonding to the clear coat.
